'Exploring a Theme'
In this talk Shelley will show how she takes an initial idea or concept through various stages to exhibiting finished work. Examples are based on her work investigating coral bleaching and the effect of plastics in the oceans. She demonstrates how she explores ideas through drawing, mark making, collage, print and photography. Whilst developing ideas inside and outside her sketchbooks, we will see how she creates samples, records ideas and develops designs as she works towards presenting and hanging finished pieces.

Clare will talk about how her love of felt-making has influenced her life. Explaining different techniques and demonstrating Nuno felt-making, Clare will about her travel cloth, where it begins and where she hopes it will lead her.
